Meet Eli Haas: From Service Desk Pro to NOC Powerhouse at Vision

With nearly four years of experience on the front lines of client support, Eli has become a familiar and trusted voice for customers navigating technical challenges. Now, he’s stepping into a new chapter with a transition into a Network Operations Center (NOC) role.

đź’Ľ What Do You Do Here at Vision?

“I’ve worked on the service desk for almost four years,” says Eli Haas. “I assist clients directly with any technical issues they’re having. I’m currently transitioning into a NOC role where I’ll be doing more behind-the-scenes things like network/server monitoring, patch management, security audits, and more.”

This shift marks an exciting evolution in Eli’s career, reflecting both his growth and Vision’s dedication to developing talent from within.

🏒 What Did You Want to Be When You Grew Up?

“A hockey player,” Eli shares. While he didn’t pursue professional sports, his competitive spirit and team-focused mindset have clearly carried over into his career.

🧠 What’s the Most Challenging Part of Your Job?

“As a tech, I think providing support over the phone is the most challenging, especially if a remote session isn’t available,” Eli explains. “You have to remember, the person requesting help may not know what information is relevant. It’s your job to listen carefully and ask the right questions to solve the issue as efficiently as possible.”

This thoughtful approach to client support is one of the reasons Eli Haas stands out on the team.

🏆 What’s Your Greatest Achievement?

“I’d say completing my MBA or landing my first IT job in Washington D.C.,” Eli says. These milestones represent both academic dedication and the drive to succeed in a competitive field.

🧭 What’s the Key to Success?

For Eli, the answer is clear: “Self-awareness.”
He explains, “Most of our decisions are driven by habits. Keep your good habits and get rid of the bad ones.” It’s simple advice, but incredibly powerful when applied consistently.

🤝 What Do You Like Most About Vision?

“The people I work with—and the ping pong table in our office,” Eli says with a laugh. The strong sense of community and fun at Vision plays a big role in why team members like Eli thrive here.

🏋️‍♂️ What Do You Do in Your Spare Time?

“I like to stay active,” says Eli Haas. “I play in a year-round hockey league with my brother and hit the gym every day after work. I’m still figuring out if I enjoy cooking or just like the feeling of eating healthy and saving money.”

On weekends, Eli enjoys visiting Port Huron to spend time with his mom and reconnect with friends from high school.
