Vision Computer Solutions Named Top MSP
JULY 29, 2020: Vision Computer Solutions has been named as one of the world’s premier managed service providers. This recognition is on the prestigious 2020 annual Channel Futures MSP 501 rankings.
For the 13th consecutive year, managed service providers from around the world actively participated in the MSP 501 survey and application process this spring. They provided detailed insights into their operations. This included product offerings, annual and recurring revenue figures, profit margins, revenue composition, growth strategies, and both company and customer demographics.
Following the data collection, Channel Futures applied a unique and rigorous ranking methodology. This approach places significant weight on revenue metrics. It also factors in long-term business health, dedication to recurring revenue models, and overall operational efficiency.
As a result, the MSP 501 doesn’t just highlight the biggest players — it showcases those with the strongest foundations and the clearest vision for sustainable growth.
Channel Futures is pleased to name Vision Computer Solutions to the 2020 MSP 501.
Over the past 13 years, the MSP 501 has evolved significantly. It started as a competitive ranking list, but today it thrives as a dynamic community of service providers, vendors, distributors, consultants, and industry analysts. These professionals collaborate to shape and expand the managed services opportunity.
Kris Blackmon, Senior Content Director at Channel Partners and Channel Futures, highlights the program’s growing impact:
“For the third consecutive year, the applicant pool for the MSP 501 has increased. This surge in participation makes this year’s list the most competitive in the survey’s history.”
In 2020, the MSP 501 team introduced a new evaluation methodology. This approach focuses on identifying what defines a great managed service provider. It aims not just to identify a large one. The updated criteria emphasize innovation, strategic thinking, and business acumen. This allows the program to spotlight the most forward-thinking MSPs in the industry.
Channel Partners and Channel Futures will recognize ten special award winners at the MSP 501 Awards Gala. It will be held during Channel Partners Virtual: Digital Events for the Modern Channel, from September 8–10. The MSP 501 application included nominations for awards such as Digital Innovator of the Year, Executive of the Year, and the Newcomer Award. It encouraged all candidates to participate.
The MSP 501 program also fuels Channel Partners’ and Channel Futures’ market intelligence efforts. The team uses the collected data to generate trend reports. They shape editorial content, guide event programming, and strengthen community-building and educational initiatives with this data. This data-driven foundation
